LOTD: Just One Old LOTD, check out the lips!

Most of the time if you notice my tutorials, or even my look of the days, I simply have no foundation or very little face makeup! I usually just create a natural looking eye makeup, with a pop of colour on my lips. I guess that's just quicker to create and dash out of the door ^^

So have a look at the old LOTD!

For the eyes, used a light wash of brown all over the lid. And lined my eyes with my trusty SANA liquid eyeliner. 

For the lips, I used Nivea's Pink Guava as a base, and dapped on the Skinfood Vita Tok Lipstick in PK03. And finally finished off with a clear gloss~

I love how the lip looks so moisturised with a healthy glow of pink!

Look of the Day - Something Wild

Ni hao. This means hello in Mandarin. 

Just a simple look of the day with a bold eyeliner. I only have been out of home with this eyeliner for a few hours, it is just not me to put on such thick eyeliner ._.

And the irony is that I did not apply a full foundation, yet I have such bold eyeliner. Haha~

The poll results on my right hand side can be quite shocking, some people have requested for Outfit of the Day~ Gosh you probably don't know what I wear on a daily basis, I go for comfort as opposed to style. Of course, there would be days that I would dress up~ for the occasion. Anyhow, let me see if I could do 1 soon ...

LOTD: Being Simplistic

This is probably one of those days which I feel extremely lazy to put on full foundation... and simply want to dash out of the house to meet my friends! 

All I have on is gel eyeliner that is set with black eyeshadow, and then a pink magic lip tint which was very moisturising and lasted almost the whole day (check out my full review here okay!). 

And after a long day, only my eye bags appeared worse. Because I did not even conceal please, haha.. Although the shape of the eye brow is pretty alright, there's a hole in my brow~

And the lip after a long day, still with a little bit of pink tint left. And it looks really dry, because I haven't been drowning myself with water. No lip balm reapplication through out the day as well. At least it did not crack~

Notice how the images have a lot of funny background. But I guess you don't mind right. Anyway my skin has been acting up lately - DRY, ACNE, BLACKHEADS. All the bad stuff that you probably don't want in your skin. However I have been alternating between having foundation (or bbcream) or nothing on at all. The above few images showcases my bare skin with face makeup at all. So it's a little uneven and bumpy.

Look of the Day - Passport Photo Taking!

I just went for passport photo taking and I wanted to share what eye makeup I did.. 

Key points for this look:

1. You must still look like yourself

2. Do not have shimmery eyeshadow or highlight 

3. Least you need is probably your brows, which helps to properly frame your face

Well, the rest is up to you. Whether you want to use an eye liner to darken those lashes or you need blusher! 

So this is what I used for my eyes:

1. Sleek Au Natural Palette - Beige & Dark Brown

2. SANA Super Quick Eyeliner - Black

3. ZA Cutie Curl Mascara

4. Tsuya Tsuya Eyebrow Pencil - Grey

I lined my eyes with the black liquid eyeliner very thinly, and extended the ends of my eyes with a small wing. And simply filled in the bottom lash line with the dark brown eye shadow. 

Matte eyeshadows were used to ensure that there are no flash backs during passport photo taking, as there might be flash used depending on where you went. 

And I kept my brows full and thick, but grey, as this is closer to my natural brow colour. Applied a thin coat of mascara (which is not obvious at all..). And I finished the look with my Nivea Fruity Shine in Pink Guava, which gives me a moisturised lips and radiant look~

Look of the Day: Belle Fleur

Today's look of the day is inspired by beautiful flowers, just as the title suggests. I wore something similar to this on my Valentine's day to celebrate with my friends and family.

But being a casual day out, I went simple on the eyeliner and added a tiny bit of mascara.

There is slight creasing on the lids cos I skipped primer, oops. Have a great day to all of you!!

That said, this color might look little neony at first and then slowly sobers down. Might not suit all types of skin in my opinion. Fairer ones might find this very very appealing while darker toned skins might find this very neony on their lips.

Avon Glazewear Intense Lipgloss ~ Urban Jungle's Animal Instinct ~ Review ~ Swatches

Animal Instinct is part of the Urban Jungle Collection.

What it claims ~

Urban Jungle is for the working woman who strives in competitive corporate office. She's wild and ready to bring out her jungle instincts in dark, rich and earthy colors.

* Color is quite rich, than it shows in pics. Last pic shows a tint of pinkiness but its not. Just the light playing tricks *.*

And again, it might look different on different people, the natural color of the lips always effects/shows through the real color of the gloss/lipstick.

Animal Instinct is a pretty brown with undertones of red. Can say sort of earthy red color!

The color is quite rich, formula non-sticky and non-sheer like most of the glosses do. Which is a big plus for me!! Apply lavishly, it shows the dark side of the color (nothing evil about it *.*). Its very pigmented as i said earlier and stays on for 1.5 - 2 hrs for me(nothing stays quite long on me, i sort of eat on glosses and lipsticks, eewww i know *.*). I prefer to wear this with my Jordana Cherrywood lipliner,  as it sort of bleeds on me( i apply rather lavishly for that dark earthy red color). Am so in love with this lately, that now i sort of don't look at my other sheer glosses!! And why would I ??

Perfect for day and evening look, this lipgloss is a must if you love rich, intense and pigmented glosses *.*

L'Oreal Color Riche ~ Pourpre Milla ~ 712 ~ Swatches!!

Its no secret that i love L'Oreal products. My foundation, lipsticks, shampoo, conditioner, eyeshadow.... you name it, i have it from L'Oreal. Not that i blindly just buy L'Oreal, its just that i end up loving their products everytime i give a try. And mostly lipsticks from L'Oreal are my absolute fave. And today am showing you one of my all time fav lipsticks from L'Oreal. Pourpre Milla from L'Oreal Star Secrets Collection is an absolute gorgeous color. Its definitely not a dark color as it shows when you look at the lipstick pic, swatch it and you would find a gorgeous shade, very irresistible, very soft and creamy, glides smooth and stays on for around 3-4 hrs without intake of food. If i have to describe the color, i should say sort of dark pink with hint of purple?? Okay never mind, its gorgeous shade and i just love it!!!

Why called Pourpre Milla??

In French Pourpre is Burgundy(say sort of purple color) and Milla is from Milla Jovovich

Lakme Lip Love Lipstick ~ Aphrodite Blush ~ Swatches and Review!!

Sometimes you come across lipsticks which change the whole opinion about a brand altogether. Once upon a time i was a big fan of Lakme, seeing my aunts raving about it, thats all i wanted to try then. Then came Maybelline, L'Oreal and Revlon, and i jumped to these awesome ones. And recently when i came across Aphrodite Blush from Lakme Lip Love Lipstick collection i was in awe..

I must say i was super impressed with this color. Its nothing like i used or had before. And suddenly Lakme again is one of my fav brands now. Too early to judge that too with single lipstick swatch?? Well i am like that!!

L'Oreal Paris ~ Colour Riche Indian Shades ~ Mulberry 710 ~ Swatches, LOTD and Review

Every woman am sure is always running short of lipsticks on special occasions. So how different would i be?? So when the planned gift wasn't delivered even on 13th May, Mothers Day; my husband had to plan something else. Well let me tell you a secret here ~ he really goes blank when he has to pick something in short time. So again i was brought into picture and when asked obviously i wanted something related Cosmetics again. He was *shocked* as usual, according to him i have plenty and as for me i need many more *.*

So instead of asking for Nail Polishes which i quite often do i asked for a lipstick.Well it was my day

so without further delay we went to 'Health n Glow' Stores. This one is pretty near to my place and often has some offers going on. So clearly it was a good place to hit first. 

I so wanted to check out 'Color Riche Nutri Shine' collection. All those gorgeous beautiful colors wanting to be tried....ahhh!!

I was so thrilled they had whole collection of colors from that range. And this sales girl was super nice and started swatching the colors for me. And from thrilled i was like shocked!! All the colors were kinda 'party wear'. Too much shine and shimmer and not even single color appealed at first glance to me. I love to party but i am not a party rocker... and besides i love my lipsticks that show my style!! Well i might try 'Guava Rose' other than that not sure if i would go anywhere near other shades from this collection... Do you have any suggestion from this collection for me???

So from there i jumped to another collection ~ Color Riche Indian Shades

And i picked the 'Mulberry 710', its so much close to 'Color Riche Star Secrets ~ Pourpre Milla' but when swatched to compare it was different so i had to have it. No doubt 'Pourpre Milla' has been my fav all time since i first swatched it, still i want so many other shades *.*

Color Essence ~ Passionate Pink Lipstick ~ Swatches and LOTD

Pink is one of my fav colors to go for even if it means lipstick and a lipgloss. Its something about Pink that makes me feel all girly and flirty and i like that. I seriously don't go by whats in and whats out, i like to create my own rules sometimes. After all fashion is all about how gorgeous you can be in your own skin .... It should enhance your beauty and not alter it. 

Well i picked this color more for having options esp in pinks. I have this gorgeous L'Oreal lipstick which is so sheer and creamy on lips i hardly feel i have lipstick on. I like that but at times i need some drama in life. Then i go from pinks to other colors which change my look from girly to more sophisticated and bold. Well thats me, and i love to play *.*

This pink is very girly, light and matte and there's nothing creamy or glossy about it. Yet the color is so vibrant and pleasant to the eye, and its so natural that one can hardly make out that its lipstick. Very perfect for someone like me who miss my old color of the lips, they say with age and pollution and of course high usage of lipsticks and stuff can alter the natural color of the lips. Maybe that's my problem right now??

Anyways for now this one makes my lips look so natural and pretty am more than happy than to worry about other things. And besides a lipstick for 112 INR?? Well mid-way if am bored too i wouldn't mind tossing it away or giving away to someone. Now isn't that a deal?

Staying power is quite good and needed one re-application after i had a long meal followed by  dessert. And for a glossy look in the evening i used Colorbar Star Shine Lipgloss in Sensation. Well i don't have the pic taken with that so i will do the separate post with the pics soon.
