Black and White challenge Day 10 ~ Dots and Bows

I have been quite obsessed with white lately and used it quite a bit in my recent manis so today when its again time to use both black and white i opted for domination of black and subtleness of white. Unfortunately white always show quite sober and not white like in stamping technique. Though am so much in love with my today's mani, i would have preferred white showing well.
Anyways thats about what i think of my mani, here's pics ~

Black and White Challenge Day 9 ~ Water Marble

I am actually running around to get things done and so this post is gonna be pretty short, just say pics and some talking *.*
I know you wouldn't hate me for this ....

Products Used -
Base Coat - Konad
Base Color - Lakme Color Crush 08
Other colors - L.A.Girl Disco Brites Vinyl Record, Lakme Color Crush 18, L'Oreal Paris Luminescence 314
Glitter Coat - L.A.Colors Star Light
Top Coat - Konad and Avon Nail Experts UV Gloss Guard

I haven't tried my hand at marbling before, so making patterns and creating a style was definitely out  of question today. But it seems pretty fun and i am sure i would seriously try this one fulfledge soon.
But meanwhile i tried creating a splash effect but with water marble. This pretty much reminded me of the pretty cotton scarves we get this Summer season in India, and also the unforgettable, festival of colors 'Holi'.

Hope everyone had a lovely day, mine was pretty hectic ..

Thanks for watching, till next time.....

Black and White Challenge Day 8 ~ Sponging

I seriously have been too busy and i realised i was supposed to do a mani using sponging technique. Its almost 12 AM here, technically 23rd April but here i am writing about why i couldnt post early *.*
Anyways no more stories, here's the pics ~

Products Used -
Base Coat - Konad
Base Color - Ooh -la-la-lilac, Revlon
Sponging Color - Sea of Cortez, NYX
Glitter Coat - Star Light, L.A.Colors
Top Coat - Konad

Am very much in awe with the effect this color combo has brought. This is the first time i did sponging and i must say i have many more planned for future  *.*
Technique is simple but mastery over it shows the touch for sure. My style shows still immatureness but i believe happiness needs no such reasons. Well am glad i did take up this opportunity as i am seriously loving the exploring and having loads of fun.
Definitely the natural light would have done justice but well as i said i haven't been at home and now at this hour the artificial light isn't doing any good. Well i might do some stamping over this tomorrow, lets see *.*

For now i hope you liked what you see here, thanks for watching and till next time....

Black and White with Glitters ~ Day 7

I have this party to attend this evening and am here writing a blog post. Well i knew about this party early but then summer means laziness and i couldn't pull myself up to do this post earlier and schedule it.
Anyways here's the pics -

Products Used -
Base Coat - Konad
Base Color - Lakme Color Crush 08 ~ White
Stamping Color - L.A.Girl ~ Black and Black Gold Glitter polish ~ China made
Stamping Plate - m79 over m85
Glitter Coat - Revlon Slipper 410
Top Coat - Konad

When i stamped m85 over white, i rather felt its too bland and just not exciting for the challenge. So i used this gorgeous Black and Gold Glitter polish and made some dots using m79 plate. Then i gave two generous coats of glitter from Revlon Slipper 410 and finished it off with Konad Top coat.

I must say i 'loved' it so much that i didn't wanted to change the mani but then i wanted something matching to my dress that am wearing this evening. So off with this gorgeous mani and in with something bright n party like.... pics coming soon on same *.*

Am going and getting ready for the party and you take a while and let me know if you like this one...

Thanks for watching, till next time......

I have been sick again, this time with sunstroke...blame it on my shopping adventure!!
Well i was eager to finish today's challenge though and you can see how distracted i was in pics....
Not a very good output with the stamping technique, first being its my first time using a stamp method and second i am somehow very shaky today with all the dizziness and fever i have since yday. Anyways here's the pics ~

Base Coat ~ Konad
Base Color ~ Royal Red, Faces
Stamping Color ~ Konad Special Nail Polish
Stamping Plate ~ m85
Top Coat ~ Konad

I am yet to finish the first 4 manis which i missed by being late to this challenge party. So expect them pretty soon, so till i get well.....

Black and White Challenge Day 5 ~ Color base with Black

Okay, who ever has been following The Nailasaurus knows what i am talking about. But somehow this time i visited her blog quite late i believe and result is i wanna participate in this challenge but its mid-way through. Nevertheless am gonna hurry up and start *.*
So here's the challenge ~

Rules ~
1. White base with black ( 1st Apr 2012)
2. Black base with white (4th Apr 2012)
3. Black base with color (7th  Apr 2012)
4. White base with color (10th Apr 2012)
5. Color base with black (13th Apr 2012)
6. Color base with white (16th Apr 2012)
7. Black & white with glitters (19th Apr 2012)
8. Sponging (22th Apr 2012)
9. Water marble (25th Apr 2012)
10. Manicure of your choice with black and white (28th Apr 2012)

More ~
Can use as many black or white polishes as you like with different finishes and slightly different shades, but black or white need to be seen.  You can layer, stamp over it, draw nail art, use a sticker, rhinestones,… but base polish must be visible. With sponging and water marble you can use as many colors as you like but black and white must be visible. You can also use color polish with 1. and 2. manicure, but do it in minimum if any at all. I know the black or white can look odd on nails, so it is OK if you do like a french tip (base of a nail need to be clear) or half nail (also clear base)

This challenge is created by Mateja of Purple Glitters. While there's Spring Challenge thats starting on April 14th, i wanna stick to this one ... So if you are interested stop by and know the rules and get going *.*
Its not about winning, its more about fun and challenging yourself... so don't be shy to play with the colors *.*

Today is 13th April and the challenge is to use 'Color Base with Black'. So here's what i came up with ~

Base Coat - Konad R61
Base Color - Revlon 356 Mushy Mauve
Black - L.A.Girl Professional Salon Formula
Brush - NAP 4 Nail Art Pen
Top Coat - Avon Nail Experts UV Gloss Guard

I wanted to make a Henna Tattoo print on Nails for pretty long time now. And i wanted a base color that looks pretty much like skin tone. In short a perfect nude!! So when i found this Revlon Mushy Mauve @Imax last weekend, i couldn't help but buy. I didn't knew then i would be using this for today's challenge but am very glad i did.
Mushy Mauve is the 'love at first swatch' i must say. Its such a gorgeous nude color with dull gold undertone. Can you imagine, gorgeous toned body with subtle gold body shimmer?? Yeah, thats the color am talking about *.*
I can see myself using this color quite often now, so any more challenges with color base am in *.*

So what do you think? Do you like my mani?

Thanks for watching, till next time.........
