♥ NOTD ~ Deborah Shine Tech 17 Tecnologia Brevettata ♥

I bought some books from Flipkart recently and i couldn't resist getting 2 nail polishes too. And one of them being this gorgeous plum with undertones of pink. I painted my nails with this gorgeous color for a Dinner Party yesterday and i must say i really really loved this shade. Here are few pics i have taken today to show you, though i must admit i played a lil and used Jessica Hologram Topcoat for that extra glam look!! You know i love glitter and especially Hologram Topcoat from Jessica is my favorite one currently ~

If you didn't get yet, i have brushed this gorgeous polish over an old flower cocktail ring of mine. Now its all new and lovely... NO??

Thursday Theme ~ Saran Wrap Nails and some Glitter

If you have seen my yesterday's mani, it was based on the theme ~ Favorite Summer Color. And if you know me well, having a plain mani like that esp when the color is so gorgeous is a sin for me. I really had to do something about it and below you can see how i re-fashioned my mani *.*

Day 6 ~ Theme ~ Favourite Summer Color

I am pink-obsessed most of the times but if you ask me which color i was rocking more this summer i have to confess its this ~

Its a gorgeous purple with subtle glitter in same color. I sometimes wonder if its gold foil!! If you see the color in bottle in natural light, gold foil like glitter shine through which unfortunately doesn't show so when swatched. I am so much in love with this 'Water Ice Colors' collection from Deborah Milano. I ordered one in pink(crazy me!!) too and if it as gorgeous as this i might order few more from same collection.

So how about you?? Have you tried any colors from this collection?? Whats your fave???

Review: Deborah Rossetto 24 Ore in 13 Creamy

For today, here's another lipstick review, Deborah Rossetto 24 Ore in 13 Creamy.

As usual, here are some pictures to show you what it looks like:

The lipstick tube actually looks professional with its satiny silver finish and the Deborah logo in red all around the bottom part of the cap (I think the logo is actually cute with all those tiny flowers). The shade number and name can be found both on the cap (see above pics in the centre and on the right) and on the bottom. Other than that, it is just what you would expect a lipstick to look like!

As most of you know, I cannot call myself a lipstick person at all because I prefer a neutral sheen that doesn't look too obvious on my lips. However, this lipstick is just a shade darker than the actual colour of my lips so I wear it a lot (you can tell from the size of the bullet ;P) both when I do dramatic eye make-up and also when sporting a more natural, pared-down look. I find it pulls the look together without looking really obvious.

Although it looks natural, you can see it is a very pigmented lipstick. However, touch-ups are still needed during the day (even if it says it lasts for 24 hours, I have yet to find a lip product that actually does last that long!). This lipstick has a particularly faint cosmetic smell that is actually pleasant. It doesn't taste bad at all and feels really moisturizing on the lips.

Like I said, I find this lipstick really easy to wear and will suit most skin tones, so I definitely recommend it to anyone that wants a natural lipstick yet looks rather unconventional.

Review: Deborah stories Eyeshadow Palette (large)

Here's another palette I got as a Christmas Gift. I never actually had to buy eyeshadows cos I get so many as gifts (I have tons more to use up and two palettes which I haven't yet used :S; it's the same story with body lotions but at least I use these quickly).

Anyway, this palette is one of my faves for various reasons. Primarily, it was given to me by my neighbour as I take care of her adorable 4-year old daughter when she's not home (at the time she bought me the palette, her daughter was like 1 and a half years old ^.^). Secondly, Deborah is one of my top make-up brands; thirdly, the butterfly design (inside) & orange colour of the palette and finally, all those bright eyeshadow colours!!!

The palette comes supplied in a transparent plastic box (which I threw away long ago) and it contains:

~ Big mirror
~ Mini Black Mascara
~ Mini Black Eye-Pencil
~ 3 overlapping decks of eyeshadows x 12 each, a total of 36 eyeshadows!!!!
~ 2 wedge eyeshadow applicators
~ 1 blush brush

First, let's start off with the supplied extras.

Mirror: a good-sized mirror which I use to get a better picture of how the eyeshadow application is going.

Black Mascara: I've used this mascara in no time! It was so tiny so I got through it after like a month or so.

Black Eye-pencil: I was really disappointed with this pencil I'm afraid. It was hard to apply and even after warming it for some time, still no colour would transfer. I chucked this out.

Eyeshadow Applicators: there were 2 of these in the palette. However, they were so small, even with my tiny hands I couldn't quite get to grip them and apply the eyeshadow. I also threw these away.

Blush Brush: yet another flaw! Again, the bristles were like less than 1cm in collective width! How would you expect to apply blusher on the cheeks? And again, this found its way in the bin.

And here is the review on the eyeshadows!

All the points lost by the palette for the supplied extras, were surely regained when I tried the eyeshadows. They are really pigmented and really stand out... even the lightest of them! The shadows glide on smoothly and last pretty much all day/night long without fading or creasing!

Being powdery, it is best to use a sponge or wedge eyeshadow applicator to apply these as the bristled brushes will contribute to powder falling on your face whilst applying. If you don't own a wedge applicator, use a tissue underneath your eye whilst applying the eyeshadows.

My favourites have to be all the green hues and the mauve shades. Which shade(s)do you like best ladies?
