Etude House Bling in the Sea Makeup Series, Starting off with Etude House Lash Perm All Shocking

Name : Etude House Lash Perm All Shocking
Original Price / Weight : 11,000won / 10g
If you want me to get it for you
Just email me : myteacupstory@gmail.com

You all know my love for shopping Makeup XD
Since I buy so much from them I get special discount ;)
I can get stuff cheaper than the original price LOL
THIS IS JUST MAKING ME BUY MORE XD
With such great deals I bought so much yesterday.

Look at how much I bought!

Sorry for my terrible Photoshop
I forgot to take a picture all together and threw away some boxes XD

I'll be uploading Etude house Makeup Series
Please do check it out ;)
I'll be showing how to do makeup with these products at the very end of the series!

Very flexible mascara
You can see the shapes
the wider part you can use to color overall coloring
and use narrower side to do detailed applying

The reason I like this mascara is that
It is Oil and Water Proof!
This product is great for everyday wear
all the sweat and oil from the skin will not smear your mascara

However I did find out that inside the water, especially in warm water
if you rub it will rub off.

So this mascara is perfect for everyday use
But not for the ocean or swimming
Because if you rub your eyes it will rub off

Because it has double layer to protect the mascara from oil and water
if you apply too much layer it will weight down your lashes

Do you like the before and After pictures?

Oh BTW Do you like my new layout

[Korean Cosmetic Blogger / Lady Fox] Etude House Lash Run 3 Step Volumeeara Mascara

[Korean Cosmetic Blogger / Lady Fox] Etude House Lash Run 3 Step Volumeeara Mascara

We all love Barbie long eye lashes (if that's even possible). But we don't always need such long eye lashes, depending on what I'm wearing and what color theme I choose for my face.

Etude House brought out pumping type mascara! (I love New Invention!)

3 Steps, 3 types of volume to your eye lashes!

I find this very interesting because this is the only mascara I've ever used that has this system of 'choice'

Price / Amount : 13,000 won / 9.5g
If you want me to get it for you just ask XD
email : myteacupstory@gmail.com

We all Love Etude House Packaging I even like the box!

I love the design it helps me to have a strong grip instead of slim ones I have can really hold on on to it, kinda have to pinch it to hold it.

Step 1 / Step 2 /  Step 3
You can see as you turn it the tub kinda turns in. Can you tell the difference?

Step 1 / Step 2 / Step 3
Unless I'm going for a smoky makeup I'll probably won't be using step 3 much.
But those who want your eyes to bold out, use step 3!

I love how bold the color comes out, and it stays on long and stays up long enough for me
It kinda drags down but it is because of the moist.
After that I'll stay as long as you want it to.

Yikes! Terrible even on cold water, it just wipes off,
If you are a person with lots of tears or if you are going to wash a sad love movie
Even on a rainy day
Don't use this!

Well, at least it is easy to wash off at night ;)

None / 1 Step
2 Step / 3 Step

See how thick your eye lashes become?
I like how fluffy your eye lashes become.

[Lady Fox / Korean Cosmetic] Hera Rich Rnning Mascara

[Lady Fox / Korean Cosmetic] Hera Rich Running Mascara

Mascara, to those who have abundant eyelashes, luck for you, those who have (what most asian woman have) tick, not curved, straight down, I have a mascara I would love to introduce.

It works in all kinds of eyelashes, and very long going, also it doesn't do that weighting down your eyelashes thing, that most mascara does.

This Hera Mascara have been testing and also did a TV show about it's ability: this mascara does not weight down, stays in place, the detailed brush makes your eyelashes more 'abundant' and sexy dark!

Price / Amount : 32,000won / 8g
If you want me to get it for you just ask XD
email : myteacupstory@gmail.com

I hope this is ture, The brush is "Peanut Shaped". Advantage of this shape is that they reach even the short and easily-left-out-eyelashes and color them well.

This is in Korean but those who want to see the Ability of Hera Mascara Strength, I think you might enjoy it.

Those who are like, "What the Heck, I'm not going to numb my brain with this"
I'll give you overall picture,
Hera Mascara did a race with other types of way to make your eyelashes look good and sexy

The first competition is Hera Mascara and Just a Normal Mascara
After Apply Hera Mascara stayed higher than the other mascara.
34.5 degree VS 16.5 degree
Of course Hera Mascara won!

The second Competition is Hera Mascara and just spray
When applied the spray won, however after 30 minutes Hera Mascara showed it's value
After 30 minutes Hera did 21.5 degree VS After 30 minutes 21 degree
Hera is the winner!

Why Korean Makeup So Popular?

 Why Korean Makeup So Popular?

When you search the Internet you for tip about makeup or makeup products Google show you other popular search and you often see ‘Korean Makeup’. Where is Korea? And Why are their makeup popular?

Korea???

 File:Korea (orthographic projection).svg
Korea is a small peninsula surrounded by China and Japan. It’s a divided country of North and South and is still in Cold War.

Korea is very famous for K-Pop
Last few months Korean singer PSY song “Gamnam Style” made an unbelievable record on YouTube.
Of course has a lot of tourist that comes to shop for Korean cosmetics.

This is many paces in Korea where tourist come to shop! :)

So, why is it popular?

1.       Korean makeup is cheap.

If designer brand lipstick is around $20 to $35+ Korean brand lipstick is around $4.72+. One designer brand lipstick is the cost of 5 of Korean brand.

2.       High Quality

Korean cosmetics show a high quality in ingredients and effect after use. Most of the top Korean cosmetic brands such as The Face Shop, Skinfood, Missha and Innisfree cosmetics contains natural ingredients. When it’s all about health many favor such products. After use you can defiantly see the difference and how quickly Korean cosmetics takes effect on your skin. The number of revisit to Korea and the fast growth of cosmetic industry which is more than 12%, prove their Quality.

3.       Cute & Pretty Package

I can’t ignore the cute product packages whenever I pass them.

4.       Korean Makeup “fresh-looking, chiseled face, flawless and translucent skin”

Just the other day, I read a news article about PSY’s “Gamnam Style” back dancer’s makeup draw in more western people attention about Korean Makeup.  If you have seen their music video it is understandable. Korean believes beauty is “fresh-looking, chiseled face, flawless and translucent skin.” And surprisingly Korean cosmetics are always making more products that when you use it, it does look like you have a natural face. That doesn’t mean you can’t express your inner nature with these products. You can easily apply few more products and you can express your sexiness, cuteness, saucy, etc look.

This Ad shows their mascara product make your eyelashes abound and sexy

I made this blog to introduce you to more Korean cosmetic product and Korean ways of makeup tips. I dearly hope you'll all enjoy it!

Haul: Sigma brushes and Mascaras

Do you enjoy Haul posts? I personally do, this gives me a peek into what others are currently "investing" in haha.

Christmas Gifts for Myself... <3

Luxola gave a 30% discount a couple of days ago and I decided to get myself the Mrs Bunny Set that I have always been eyeing on. After watching so many Youtubers sharing about how good these brushes are, and the beautiful packaging and colour scheme it came with... I gave into the temptation.

Make-up Tip #1 - Beautiful Lashes

Ever felt that the mascara always causes your lashes to clump?
Even if you only used one coat?
Worst still, if you use more than one coat, the clumps get bigger?

Now you can fret not as I am going to show you how I get my natural and long lashes without any clumps! This method will work on 2-3 layers of mascara application as well.

Makeup Forever - Smoky Lash - Review

Aloha!
So I'm eventually reviewing some of my IMATS purchases.
I'd put off opening my Smoky Lash since i already had atleast three other mascaras open... But eventually i caved!

Makeup Forever isn't the easiest to get hold of in the UK. As far as i know there are only two stockists, PAM and Guru Makeup Emporium which are both based in London but both do have an online store.
With the normal price of £18 here in the UK, it isn't the most purse friendly of products. But IMATS did have quite a steep discount on MUFE products so i only paid around £9. Bargain!

The brush itself is a little larger than I'm used to. I'd probably compare it to about the size of Benefits Bad Gal. I'd been using a combination of two mascaras over the past month, using L'Oreal's Volume Millions lashes for its volume and Smashbox's Hyper Lash for length. Not really a combo I'd be happy to repurchase with the combined price of the two!

So now for the before and after. Excuse the wonkily sized images... ooops!

I'm pretty damn happy with this mascara. It wasn't until i reached for my old combo i really realised how much of a difference it really makes. It adds both volume and length without becoming clumpy. I wouldn't go as far as to say a "false lash effect", since lets be honest, there's not many of us who have super duper amazing lashes to begin with. But this does a pretty good job. And the thing that pleases me the most... no annoying smudges a few hours in! Hurray!

The downfall is the price. Luckily (and in a little bit of a spending frenzy) i picked up two of these, and will not be opening the second one until every other mascara i own is dry or used up. So I'll make a pretty good effort to make them last! I don't think I'd personally pay that much for mascara, i used to get my Bad Gal for birthdays and could never muster up the courage to spend that much on it. I'll definitely be on the hunt for a cheaper alternative!

Whats your holy grail mascara?

Review: e.l.f. Limited Edition Christmas Get the Look Set Day to Night

Hi cupcakes! I'm back with another e.l.f. review!

In the beginning of December/late November, I received this set from e.l.f. cosmetics.  I spent ages going ooh and how cute around the house before I oohed and awed even more on swatching the eyeshadows and trying  out the mascara, pencil and eyeliner :D  Here are some pictures to show you what I am talking about:

I really like the packaging on all these Christmas Sets with the snowflake motifs but due to lack of space, I had thrown it away :(  The set features two eyeshadow trios (Day - purples + gold & Night - black, green and frosty white), A Brightening Eyeliner in Black, Lengthening and Defining Mascara in Black and a Liquid Eyeliner in Black as well as two sponge applicators which are not shown as I felt they were too coarse to use on my eyes and threw them away altogether.

The Eyeshadows

The eyeshadows are really pigmented but not as sparkly as they look in the pans, except for the black and white shades which are really sparkly indeed!  With regards texture, they are a bit on the powdery side so I never risk not using a very good primer underneath these eyeshadows (I use an elf eyelid primer and Persimmon All Over Colour Stick Combo/cream eyeshadow to provide a good sticky base).  When a primer is used, these really last a long time without smudging or fading away.  However, even though the set is named Day to Night, I find the colours a bit too strong for day-wear; but maybe that's just me!  On a side note, the white shade arrived broken and its powder was all over the inside of the eyeshadow box.  I can't complain though as it was for sent to me for free!

The Mascara, Liquid Eyeliner and Brightening Eye Pencil

As I mentioned before, the set also contains a Lengthening and Defining mascara, liquid eyeliner and a pencil eyeliner all of which are black.  I really like the intensity of the black on these three and the mascara is my favourite one! It gives my lashes some more length and separates them for a fanned-out effect without clumping and it lasts all day!  The liquid eyeliner lasts until I take it off but the pencil fades away after a couple of hours just like most other pencils.  Overall I am really happy with all this though :) I am a bit disappointed because there is no other mascara named the same as this one in the set and I really really like it.

Swatches left to right: Brightening Eyeliner Pencil, Liquid Eyeliner, Lengthening and Defining Mascara

Like I said, I got this set for free but it is now on sale from the elf website for €6.35 instead of €8! Hurry as this stock is limited edition! P.S. Right now e.l.f. are also offering Free Standard Shipping (ends today at midnight)!

Review: BYS Mascara in 08 Waterproof Black

Recently I got to try this brand BYS Cosmetics.  I have never heard of it before and so I decided to give it a try. Seeing the items were only €2 each, if I didn't like them, I wouldn't regret spending a lot of money. I got the mascara I am going to review today and a nail polish (review coming up soon; in the meantime, you can see it in action here).

First of all, let me introduce you to BYS Cosmetics.  BYS stands for Be Your Self and this is an Australian drugstore brand that has an extensive range of cosmetics.  You can check out the range on their website. The site is not an online shop, it just showcases the range; but you can buy them from fashionaddict.co.au (in my opinion shipping is a bit expensive though), alternatively, try ebay. I am planning to get a few other things from this brand should I find them here because there was only a small selection of basic stuff. When you log on the site, you will find that the packaging of some products is very similar to other brands for example the baked eyeshadows (Mac) and the eyeshadow trios (NYX).

Now for the actual mascara review.  With regards packaging, it's just a basic black tube which holds 7ml of product. It looks very much like a liquid eyeliner. The wand is also your basic mascara wand, nothing special about that. The shade I got is 08 Waterproof Black.

The long handle of the wand is a plus for me for the usual simple reason that you can maneuver the wand better than if it were short.  I find this mascara is good for everyday use. It doesn't give lashes a dramatically full effect or anything of the sort (then again, I didn't expect it to). Here's how it looks like on my top lashes:

It lasts all day so that's always a good point but the only thing that has disappointed me in this mascara is the fact that it is not waterproof at all.  It comes off easily with  a bit of water so I wouldn't trust this for a day at the beach or rainy days...I don't want to end up looking like a panda!  However, whilst being removed, it just comes off in one or two sweeps without flaking all over my face.

Overall, this is a good mascara, however, I don't think I will buy it again. I only bought it to save my more expensive ones as I was using them for everyday and was really running low on them so to preserve them a bit longer I opted for a cheap one. Have you ever tried any products BYS cosmetics? How do you feel about them?

Top-Ten Tuesdays ~ Mascaras

This week's Top-Ten Tuesdays will be all about my top 10 mascaras. See if you agree with me and if not, post your fave mascaras in the comments box below!

10. Rimmel Extra Super Lash in Black Black ~ an intense black mascara that gives the lashes a full appearance, both for dramatic and natural looks. Eliminates the use of a lash comb as it doesn't clump lashes and separates them beautifully.

9. e.l.f. Wet Gloss Lash and Brow Mascara in Clear ~ perfect for days on the beach, for natural looking lashes and keeping brows in check for a more polished, pulled-together look.

8. Max Factor Masterpiece in Black ~ another favourite of mine for full-lashes. I prefer to use this for dramatic night looks.

7. Maybelline The Colossal Volum Express in Black ~ the name of this mascara says it all! Volumised lashes all the way!

6. Rimmel Sexy Curves in Brown Black ~ this is my top mascara for lashes to complement a neutral day look. It gives lashes a full appearance without looking too dramatic.

5. Max Factor False Lash Effect in Black ~ again, the name says it all! careful when using this for day; 1 coat is enough or it may look too dramatic.

4. Rimmel 100% Waterproof in Black Black ~ the best waterproof mascara I have ever tried! Lasts me a whole day in summer while swimming + it doesn't smudge or bugde!

3. Max Factor Lash Lift in Black Brown ~ a brown mascara that I like to use for natural yet rather unconventional looks.

2. e.l.f Earth & Water Mascara Duo in Noire ~ the perfect day mascara for me! I use it all year round since one side is a regular mascara and the other is a waterproof version. Defined lashes all day long as this mascara doesn't smudge.

1. L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Explosion ~ my absolute favourite mascara! It gives lashes a beautiful fan effect thanks to the revolutionary brush.
