Antipodes: Aura Manuka Honey Mask

Hii Lovelies!

This little beauty of a face mask has been on my wish list for such a long time, and finally a month or so ago i finally took the plunge and ordered it. I'm on a real Antipodes kick at the moment so this is the second, out of three products reviews. I've already raved about their Divine Oil, you can check that review out here!

Antipodes products boast a whole host of lovely ingredients, with many of their products being certified organic. Now if you've followed my blog for a while you'll know I'm an avid fan of the Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel Mask, so it takes a lot to impress me. This mask uses the traditional New Zealand remedy of manuka honey, which is known for its anti-bacterial and hydrating properties. Perfect for me as i suffer with dry skin and blemishes! Its thick in consistency but a little goes a long, long way and the smell is just divine, the vanilla pod really stands out to me and there is just something about vanilla i find so relaxing!

I've been using this in rotation with my Papaya Enzyme as both work for different purposes. I'll use my Papaya first, as an exfoliant and then this to hydrate my skin after on a twice weekly basis. Even with all the hydrating claims its not at all heavy on the skin and leaves my face feeling soft and refreshed, so  I can see this working for nearly all skin types. Needless to say this is little gem has now become a permanent part of my skincare routine. I absolutely adore it!

I purchased mine from Feel Unique for £21.50, and for 75ml of product is quite a steal for something so lovely! You can check it out here.

Feel Unique often have coupon codes running so keep your eyes out for one of those. You can currently save £12 on any order over £100 with the code 12offjune13.

What is your favourite face mask?

Antipodes Divine Face Oil - Review

Antipodes as a brand is a relatively new discovery of mine and I've been trying out a couple of their products, so far I'm impressed! The Divine Face Oil is a blend of many lovely essential oils including avocado, rosehip and macadamia, making it a real treat for the skin. I have quite dry / dehydrated skin and find my face eats this stuff up! It has quite a herbal scent which I'm not over keen on, but as the product sinks in quite quickly so does the scent.

I've been using this as part of my evening skincare routine before night cream and have found it really helps with any dry patches on my face. It does boast some pretty big scientific claims: "Scientifically shown to stimulate optimal synthesis of type 1 collagen production in human fibroblast skin cells by up to 51%". Well I obviously cannot say if that has been the case for me, but i am really enjoying using it. I've seen a definite improvement in dry patches and feel my skin has been softer after using it, and so far it has not broken me out in the slightest. Apart from using Almond Oil on the odd occasion, face oils are a new concept for me and i honestly do not know why i haven't incorporated any into my routine before. I've been using the Divine Oil for nearly a month now and can definitely see a repurchase in the future.

Priced at £18.99 it doesn't break the bank and you need such a small amount of product i can see this lasting me a good 6 months of use every other day. I'm not sure how this would work with more oilier skins, but for drier types i wholeheartedly recommend this little beauty.

I picked mine up from Feel Unique here.

Collective Haul Youtube Video! Including Illamasqua, Synful Colors, FeelUnique and More...

Ello lovelies!

I filmed a bit of a huge collective haul the other week and after some debating with myself i finally decided to upload it! I recently purchased a new camera so hopefully no more filming on my iMac, but I've yet to get to grips with settings or had to time to play around with it with the mountain of university work to do.

But luckily i have a little over a week left at university this year so the second that last piece is submitted, usual blogging activities will commence! And boy I've got some goodies to share with you all.

So until then, here is a bit of a shabby collective haul with most of the things I've splurged on in the last month!

What products have you beauty addicts been splurging on?

Leave a comment and let me know!

theBalm - Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighter

My first theBalm purchase!

After my slight disappointment with lightscapade I'd been on the hunt for another highlighter and after being recommended this online i started searching for reviews, just after a few i was sold so started the hunt online. Again its another Feel Unique purchase they had 20% off at the time so i picked this up for £12, which isn't half bad. Although i do think Feel Unique package their cosmetics poorly, the first one i received was smashed to bits! Packaged in a thin Jiffy envelope with minimal padding, a bit stupid really. The second one arrived in the same packaging, but luckily it survived, hurrah!

Now this is my sort of highlighter! You don't need a lot of product to add a gorgeous pearly sheen, but its not at all glittery and i don't find it emphasises my pores too badly either. Its described as a champagne gold, but i think it would work well on most skin tones and it doesn't lean too warm for me. I've been using my Real Technique's contour brush to apply it and I've been loving it! Think Lightscapades actually going back in the stash as i think this is going to have pride of place on my dressing table, its gorgeous!
As per usual, rubbishy swatch but you can see the beautiful sheen it gives to the skin, its just stunning. Overall i think this is a wonderful highlighter, you get a ton of product and at £12 isn't horridly expensive. If you're in the market for a new highlighter, give this one a little try! Hopefully you'll love it as much as me.

Whats your favourite highlighter?
