Antipodes: Aura Manuka Honey Mask

Hii Lovelies!

This little beauty of a face mask has been on my wish list for such a long time, and finally a month or so ago i finally took the plunge and ordered it. I'm on a real Antipodes kick at the moment so this is the second, out of three products reviews. I've already raved about their Divine Oil, you can check that review out here!

Antipodes products boast a whole host of lovely ingredients, with many of their products being certified organic. Now if you've followed my blog for a while you'll know I'm an avid fan of the Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel Mask, so it takes a lot to impress me. This mask uses the traditional New Zealand remedy of manuka honey, which is known for its anti-bacterial and hydrating properties. Perfect for me as i suffer with dry skin and blemishes! Its thick in consistency but a little goes a long, long way and the smell is just divine, the vanilla pod really stands out to me and there is just something about vanilla i find so relaxing!

I've been using this in rotation with my Papaya Enzyme as both work for different purposes. I'll use my Papaya first, as an exfoliant and then this to hydrate my skin after on a twice weekly basis. Even with all the hydrating claims its not at all heavy on the skin and leaves my face feeling soft and refreshed, so  I can see this working for nearly all skin types. Needless to say this is little gem has now become a permanent part of my skincare routine. I absolutely adore it!

I purchased mine from Feel Unique for £21.50, and for 75ml of product is quite a steal for something so lovely! You can check it out here.

Feel Unique often have coupon codes running so keep your eyes out for one of those. You can currently save £12 on any order over £100 with the code 12offjune13.

What is your favourite face mask?

♥ Skin Food ~ Kiwi Yogurt Mask Wash Off ♥

Skin Food ~ Kiwi Yogurt Mask Wash Off
When i first tried this mask i knew i was in love. Mine is a pretty sensitive and combination skin which at times turn very de-hydrated. Not dry but de-hydrated, lacking glow and the loss of suppleness that follows.
I have used this and like a magic skin felt alot better. No stretchy and tight feeling, instead skin felt instantly supple. As it claims i can really smell a bit of kiwi in the mask and the color of the mask is a very pale pistachio. And as you can see in the pic, there are tiny granules in green color which quickly dissolve when you apply the mask. This mask is a light formulation so anyone from Dry to Normal and Combination Skins can try without a second thought. Though i would caution anyone with Oily and Acne prone skin. This mask can be little heavy on oily skins and may lead to breakout, so caution.
I have used this quite a few times and i am never disappointed!! Its a great mask for the Winter and Chilly season where skin often feels de-hydrated losing suppleness often due to the change in temperatures frequently.
And this mask has a pleasant fragrance which i totally love!!
I got this from Ebay (sorry i don't remember the price as i got my cousin to order for me) and this mask surely is totally worth the price!! And i am so looking forward to try other Korean Beauty Products!!

Have you tried this mask? What your favorite Korean Beauty Product??

♥ Fav 3 ~ Korean Beauty Products ~ Face ♥

I have been using these face products for quite a while now and i must say am so totally head over heels in love with everything Korean.
From K-Drama to K-Beauty am loving it all!!

And here are 3 fav products of mine ~

SkinFood Kiwi Yoghurt Face Mask

For those troubled skin days when everything seems useless to get the moisture back into skin, this product works like miracle to me.

I don't have a dry skin. Mine is Sensitive Combination Skin. But there are times when it just turns        de-hydrated and lifeless and refuses to take any makeup. The de-hydration is one woe i often combat with on a frequent basis and this one is a life-saver.

TonyMoly Tomatox Magic White Massage Pack

This face mask is the first Korean Mask i tried and i did instantly fell in love with it. It feels like white paste in hand and smells lovely. As you can see it really does come in a tomato shaped cute tub and a transparent small spoon(not shown in pic) to scoop out the mask. Not only the look of it, mask itself is pretty impressive in results. Imparts an instant glow to skin which i really love. For those days when skin looks tired and lacks glow, this is my to-go fav product.

Skin79 Super+ Beblesh Balm

This is the first Korean BB Cream i have ever used. I love this as a base to most of my makeup and otherwise too. Though i find it little drying , i absolutely love it over a well moisturized skin. Though doesn't match most of the Indian Skin tones, it does improve the color and texture of the skin alot. This is my regular BB Cream even while am at home!!

So these are my fav 3 face products from Korean Beauty. Have you been in love with Korean Beauty Products yet??? What's your fav one???

Note ~ Will do a full review of the products soon!!

♥ AuraVedic Cleansing Ubtan Mask ~ Sandal Saffron ♥

Today am sharing my experience on the AuraVedic Cleansing Ubtan Mask ~ Sandal Saffron which is second in the lot of masks i was sent for my review. You can read the review of the first one, AuraVedic Skin Lightening Mask here

Some more info about the Ingredients ~
  • Red Sandalwood powder is mostly used as base in any cosmetic product and sandalwood is generally known for soothing and calming properties.
  • Ambe haldi is nothing but Turmeric known for its anti-septic and whitening properties.
  • Saffron is mostly used in cosmetics which are made of natural extracts and it helps alot in lightening of the skin.
  • Nagarmotha has anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Kapurkachri has antiseptic properties.
  • Jethimadh is nothing but Licorice which possesses potent and effective anti-inflammatory, antioxidant as well as melanogenesis-inhibiting properties (helps in inhibiting formation of melanin by the cells).
  • Ashwagandha Roots are known to have anti-inflammatory, anti-stress, antioxidant and rejuvenating properties.
  • Orange Peel has anti-oxidants and vitamin C which help to get a clean and glowing complexion.
  • Almond (powder) smooths and softens the skin (acts as emollient), reduces inflammation and aids in the removal of dead skin cells (acts as exfoliant). Helps in improving the complexion.
  • Neem has antiseptic properties.
  • Methi Seeds help improve the complexion and also acts on pimples and acne giving a clear skin.
  • Basil has anti-septic properties
  • Bengal gram is an effective cleansing agent and also acts as a mild scrub removing the dead skin cells and revealing a smooth and soft skin.
  • Rose Petal Powder is incredibly popular for its ability to balance the skin.  It boasts astringent, and anti-bacterial properties but does not strip the skin of moisture.  Instead, Rose products can help to regulate sebum, skin's natural barrier and lubricant

Other info ~

Free of Parabens, SLS, Harmful Chemicals and Colors
Not tested on animals.
For external use only.
Keep out of eyes.
Store in cool dry place.
Due to high concentration of natural extracts, essential oils and floral waters, this product may not be suitable for all skin types.

What it claims ~
Ubtan cleansing mask prepared from a traditional formulation of natural herbs, nourishes and leaves skin smooth, radiant and glowing. Natural extracts of Sandal, Turmeric and Saffron ensure that the beauty of the skin is enhanced and nourished.

Usage ~
Mix Ubtan with Oil or Milk or Rose Water. Gently massage over skin. Leave paste on skin for a few mins before rinsing off to reveal smooth, soft and glowing skin.

Qty ~ 50 gms

Price ~ 200 INR

What i ♥ ~
  • Mix this powder with Oil for dry skins, with milk for normal to combination skins and with water or rose water for oily skins. I personally loved with Milk as it really did give out an instant tinge of glow to my dull and tired skin at night. *I preferred to add cold milk*
  • Single mask suits all the skin types just with a change of base (oil or milk or rosewater).
  • Smells heavenly which i totally love!!
  • When mixed with milk, it didn't leave any tinge of color on the skin behind. And Milk is also a skin whitening agent, so its a great mask for skin lightening.
  • Need only a tea spoon at the max for one time use, which means its going to last for pretty long time for me.
I haven't found anything which i dislike yet!! I love to add this about a tea spoon or two to my bengal gram flour which i use as cleansing agent instead of soap for daily use. More for the divine smell it has and the way my skins feels after use. And i am seriously loving it!!
Though i have sensitive skin (with combination type) my skin hasn't showed any signs of discomfort or irritation. But as mentioned earlier, this product does have high concentrations of natural extracts, essentials oils and floral waters which may not be suitable for all skin types. Its ADVISABLE to do a small patch test before you go full-fledged.

Do i recommend??? Highly !!
So do you think you wanna try this amazing product??

♥ Ritual Auravedic Skin Lightening Mask ~ Review ♥

I was sent these products by Auravedic sometime back. And since these being the face masks(not lipsticks or nailpolishes) i had to try well and for long, before i expressed my opinion on these.
So today i have the Skin Lightening Mask from Auravedic for the review ~

Ingredients ~
Red Sandal, Saffron, Turmeric, Neem, Tulsi, Licorice, Kapurkachri, Nagarmotha, Amla, Mulberry, Papaya Enzyme, Sorbitol, Potassium Sorbate

Some more info about the Ingredients ~
  • Nagarmotha has anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Sorbitol in cosmetics is often used as humectant(retaining or preserving moisture) and as a thickener.
  • Licorice possesses potent and effective anti-inflammatory, antioxidant as well as melanogenesis-inhibiting properties.
  • Kapurkachri has antiseptic properties.
  • Mulberry has rejuvenating properties.
Other info ~

100% Pure Natural Plant Extracts
Check for sensitive skin.
No animal testing done.
For external use only.

What it claims ~
This gentle facial mask formulated with pure natural actives, deeply penetrates the skin to lighten the complexion and clarify dark spots for glowing and radiant skin.

Usage ~
Cleanse face before applying the mask. Keep on fir 15-20 mins before gently washing off with water. Use daily for maximum results.

Qty ~ 50 gms

Price ~ 200 INR

What i ♥ ~
  • This mask contains Sandal, Saffron and Turmeric; all the ingredients which aid in skin lightening.
  • While neem and tulsi aid in clarifying the skin, amla is a good anti-oxidant which protects skin from free radicals.
  • Papaya is well known for its power to give a boost to the skin which helps in having a glowing complexion.
  • Its a ready to use mask, so very travel friendly.
  • Smells heavenly, reminds me of the fresh sandalwood paste you can smell in Temples in South India.
  • Skin has shown a lot of improvement and lightened up a little (haven't used daily as advised).
Some may find this mask too yellow and not like, it leaving a yellow tinge on the skin later. Use this mask before bed and the next day you will not have the complain.
Turmeric due to which you see the yellow tinge in the mask is skin lightening ingredient too so use the mask in small quantities to keep the tinge minimal.
Mix this in small quantity with the Fullers Earth (Multani Mitti) to reduce the tinge and this face mask is great for combination to oily skins (i have a combination skin and i am seriously loving this).
Dry skins can try this by mixing a little quantity of yoghurt (curd) and use as the face mask. Yoghurt helps to keep the skin hydrated and soft and it also is a skin lightening agent. Not advisable for Combination to Oily skins as it may lead to breakout!

I only wish it came in a tube rather than tub which if not careful can lead to contamination. Other than that for me this is an awesome face mask. I have only got one right now and i have been using this since 2 weeks, i have almost used 6 times by now(need only lil) and skin started showing major changes.

Would i buy again?? Definitely...........

So what do you think of this mask? Would you love to buy too??

Philosophy's Hope Springs Eternal... Deep Sea Revitalizing Mask

I wasn't planning on doing a review for this product just yet,but after using it again i just had so many good things to say about it. My mom and I share a love for Philosophy products, however i don't really use their skin care stuff only their bath and body products, but my mom is a big fan and uses their products regularly. The first time i saw this in her shower, i couldn't help myself so i tried it and was amazed. the product has a yucky seaweed green color-like something you'll find at the bottom of the ocean. it has a gel like consistency and smells like axe or a men's pefume, but not as overpowering. what i found out about philosophy skin care products while poking around my mom's stuff is that they have a strong chemical like smell, Hope in a Jar to me smells like chlorine. like most philosophy products, it is a bit pricey for me, a 5oz one ranges from $25-$30+, so for the meantime i'll just use my mom's ^___^

"Natural marine extract rich in antioxidants helps revitalize and protect skin, minerals from the deep sea help condition and refresh skin, sea salt provides gentle purification to help renew skin."

~~directions on the back say: apply to clean skin from hairline to bustline. massage. leave on for 5 minutes then rinse. use as often as you like. ~~

i used this product in two ways:
  • in the shower i let the steam open up my pores and then i apply this as directed.
  • when my skin feels dull, i put some on and leave it on while doing stuff around the house then rinse.
after using this product my skin feels healthy and nurtured. actually once i rinse this product off i can feel that it settled into my skin and leaves a thin layer of moisture. in other words i feel like i'm not rinsing anything since it stuck to my skin(in a good way), like a light barrier . i feel happy and my skin feels happy since it gets some nutrients. i read somewhere that this actually has  over 250 minerals and antioxidants :) i will definately keep using this product. Love it!!

Spa Magik Skincare Review

Ello lovelies!
A little while ago i was sent a box of goodies to try from Spa Magik / Spa Find, it was over a month ago and I've been meaning to do this review for a while. I'll start off by saying just because i was sent these does not affect my opinion at all, all my opinions on these are honest and completely my own. The package included their Mild Exfoliant, Delicate Boosting Mask, Salt Brushing Sachets and their Acne Treatment. They also sent me a super cute tote bag which I've been lugging my uni books around in lately. The Acne treatment i won't be reviewing, simply because i don't have acne. But to save waste I'm donating it to a blogger friend who does suffer from time to time, so when she reviews it I'll be sure to link it here! Anyways, enough rambling!

I've got to admit I'm a little bit of a snob when it comes to skincare. I honestly wasn't expecting much from these but I'm glad to say i was pleasantly surprised! I'm EXTREMELY fussy when it comes to facial exfoliants, i like the exfoliating particles to be very fine but also to be enough of them to give my face a good scrub. I used to sneak my Mum's St Tropez Body Polish (even though it's not meant to be used for the face!) and have been disappointed with every exfoliator since. I was delighted when i first used this product! It's fine and not at all scratchy, my absolute favourite type of facial exfoliator.

The Delicate Boosting Mask works wonderfully too. It's aimed at dry/sensitive skin so was perfect for me. These two have been permanently in my bathroom for the last month and used 3 - 4 times a week I'm that impressed. I feel like the mask really does help to soften my skin and the two together are brilliant combo!

Salt Brushing! I again wasn't very excited when i first saw this product. It wasn't till i actually used it i sort of remembered it... This product in it's full size comes in a large blue and white tub and i remember this being one of the products i was 'banned' from using as a teenager as i had a habit of using all my Mums products! It's quite a coarse salt scrub so using this gently is key for me. I suffer with a bit of congestion on my left arm and this has been great for tackling that! I'm in love with the scent too!

Overall I'm really impressed with Spa Magik! All their products are now paraben free and have allergen free fragrances which is great for us sensitive skinned girls!

The products aren't pricey either! The mask and exfoliator are priced at £7.75 each and the full sized 500ml Salt Brushing Scrub at £13.40 which i think is pretty reasonable. I will 100% be purchasing these products, which is a rare thing for me to say! I've really noticed a big difference in my skin while using these and am keen to keep up the results.

These can be purchased online here on the Spa Find website, or alternatively online on both Debenhams and the John Lewis online store.

Are there any Spa Magik products you love? Let me know!
