♥ Lady with Red Nails ♥

I absolutely love wearing RED but surprisingly once upon a time i was just scared having this color in my wardrobe! 

And now i just hoard stuff in Red, and am a game for it if i get my hands on various shades of it!! I know 'Crazy Me' !!

Well i recently painted my nails with Colorbar Dreamy and used NYX ♥ Girls Dorothy Glitter Polish as top coat. I must agree both together look so awesome, i would hate to change my polish soon!!

Love is in the air and whats best way to show some self love than doing a pretty mani !! And weekends are the time i enjoy doing it at leisure so this time i have this lovely mani i did showing my Valentines Day mood. I  love glitter and some heart stickers made it all more Valentine-y ....

♥ NYE Mani ♥

I don't like huge crowds especially if they are strangers!! I am a game to meet a gang of friends but never comfortable with total strangers!! So often these NYE parties (New Year Eve) are not my cup of tea!! I prefer to stay at home with Family or out celebrating it with close Family and Friends! 

And so again this time it was just a home party and it was fun!! I got to pamper myself at leisure and also decide on what to wear the next day!! I was meeting my college friend after 12 yrs and seriously i was beyond happy!

And to kick start my New Year, i decided on a Glitter Mani. Nothing rocks and oozes party feeling like glitter on nails! And so this time i chose NYX polishes i recently got from The B Shop on FB.

Since the second i got this polish to my hand, i have been dying to swatch and see its real beauty. And when i did, whats to say more.... I am in ♥

Products Used ~

Base coat ~ Konad

Base Color ~ NYX ♥ Girls Royal Purple

Glitter Polish ~ Dutchess, Fergie Collection, Wet n Wild

What i ♥ ~

• Its a gorgeous blue glitter polish with a hint of pink glitter.
• Glitter is very fine with no hints of any chunky ones.
• Its a very sheer glitter polish, which actually looks quite dull (to me) all by itself.
• But when used with a complimenting base color and it looks quite alot different (like the pic above).
• When applied this polish looks glossy with a lovely sheen but once dry it turns matte giving it a textured look which is actually very beautiful.
• For that matte and textured glitter nails looks, the top coat can be avoided (which for a change i did as i couldn't take my eyes off this beauty).
• Brush is super big and covered my nail in one single stroke (say whattt??? yeah its freakingly big ^.^)

What i don't ♥ ~

• Its damn hard to get rid of that extra polish that gets on the cuticles and sides of the nails (i guess its generally that way with glitters ^.^)

Overall an amazing polish, am glad i did ask for this!! Am sorry i have no clue of the price as its a gift ^.^

~ NYX ♥ Girls ~ Royal Purple ~ Swatches n Review ~

Almost 3 months back i bought some NYX ♥ Girls polishes from Urban Touch. See the haul post here. Out of these, last month i did use Fierce Purple and infact loved it alot!! You can see the mani in which i used Fierce Purple here.

Today am showing you Royal Purple which my dear friend Neha Mane asked for swatches, long long back.... so sorry, it took ages but hey see i didn't forget ^.^

Anyways here's swatches ~

~ NYX ♥ Girls Royal Purple and Konad Top Coat ~

Products Used ~

Base Coat ~ Konad (shown in pic above)

Nail Color ~ NYX ♥ Girls

Top Coat ~ Avon UV Gloss Guard Top Coat (now shown)

What i ♥ ~

• Its a beautiful purple color with undertones of dark blue.
• Its super glossy and very shiny.
• Needs no topcoat as its very sheen (but as a ritual i use for every polish i wear ^.^ )

What i don't ♥ ~

• Single coat is very streaky and so is double coat (you can see in the pic, i have used double coat).
• Its a very sheer formula and needs to be build up for that opaque finish.
• Brush is very average, need more than 3 strokes to cover the nail (for me atleast).

Apart from being sheer, i find no other reasons why i shouldn't ♥ it. 

And I did use this as base for my next mani and OMG am in ♥ ........
