Seascape Uplift Body Wash - Review*

Hello Lovelies!

Uplift Bodywash* is the second product I've tried from the Jersey based brand and if you've seen my previous review you'll know I'm already quite smitten.
Seascape have some lovely brand ethics and their products contain no nasties like parabens, petroleum, silicone's and are suitable for vegetarians. They also source many of their ingredients locally and are a certified carbon neutral. They tick many, many boxes for all you ethically and environmentally conscious shoppers! You can find a whole host of information on the brand and their ethics on their website here.

It has been a long while since I've tried a new body wash or shower gel because I've been very much set in my ways with my current products, so it was a real nice change to try out something new. Uplift contains 100% natural Jersey eucalyptus, lime and lavender oil and the result of these three give it a lovely refreshing scent. My nose can really pick up on the lavender and eucalyptus but not so much the lime. Its not a scent i would personally go for, but saying that it is one I've been really enjoying. The fresh scent is perfect for those mornings when you really do not want to get up, as the name suggests it really is uplifting! Its a very clean scent, so with the hot sticky weather we've been having here in the UK its a welcome change to my usual sickly sweet picks.

For £16 you get a nicely sized 300ml bottle and some lovely packaging, I'm one of those weirdos who doesn't like binning such loveliness. I can't be alone there? Another perk of this is that it lathers up a treat! Its my bug bear with shower gels that you have to use half a bottle to get a good foam, well not with this! A little dollop is enough to do your whole body, it even works quite well as a bubble bath.

Overall although this is not something I would of chosen myself I'm actually really enjoying it, I've had to remove if from the bathroom because apparently my Mother is too! Its a bit of a splurge at £16 but with the quality and Seascapes background and ethics would make a perfect gift for someone special or a little treat for yourself!

You can find Uplift and other Seascape products from their website and HQ Hair here.

What is your favourite body wash?

Yes To Tomatoes... deep cleansing facial pads

Here i am again, after promising to publish more post, it's been 5 days since my last one. i'm sorry!
but on the brighter side, i finally got a new camera. i hope this time i will be able to take better pictures with my amateur photography skills.- anyway...

This time, i will be reviewing i product i just got recently. i wasn't really suppose to  do this one just yet, but in the short few days that i have been using it, i fell in love with this product.

For those that do not know Yes To/ Yes To Carrots, or for this instance, Yes to Tomatoes, is a company that is known to make really healthy natural products made from organic ingredients.for more information about them here is the link i recommend reading more about their highly impressive  company Yes To Carrots. There's this part of me that is just wanting to be organic and healthy and i'm a sucker for companies like these. Anyway, on my way home from my night class i passed by Walgreens to check if they had any makeup on sale. After not seeing anything eye-catching i headed to the next aisle and saw that this product was on sale, i saw the price $2.12(used to be $7.99) and i immediately grabbed it after seeing the brand and that it was the last one.
When i got home i was even more impressed when i read the labels!!!

here are some information found on the labels:
98% Natural Product, Paraben(synthethic preservatives) Free

 helps prevent blemishes and breakouts

and most of all i was very impressed by its ingredients

Water (Aqua) , Alcohol Denat. (Naturally derived) , Glycerin , Hamamelis Virginiana Water (Witch Hazel) , Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera - Certified organic ingredient) , Decyl Glucoside , Solanum Lycopersicum Fruit Extract (Tomato - Certified organic ingredient) , Citrullus Vulgaris Fruit Extract (Watermelon) , Dead Sea Salt (Maris Sal) , Capsicum Annuum Fruit Extract (Red Pepper) , Aspalathus Linearis Extract (Red Tea - Certified organic ingredient) , Cucurbita Pepo Fruit Extract (Pumpkin - Certified organic ingredient) , Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract (Certified organic ingredient) , Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract (Certified organic ingredient) , Alcohol (Naturally derived) , Phenoxyethanol , Dicaprylyl Ether , Glycolic Acid , Sodium Hydroxide , Fragrance

Yes To Tomatoes is geared more for the Combination or Acne Prone skin. I'm more of a Dry/combination skin, but lately i have been wearing makeup while in my gym class(no i'm not trying to impress a cute guy, i just don't have time to wash it off between classes haha) and this caused me to have some breakouts on my temples, however i used this product all over my face since it also prevents breakouts. i used it for the last 5 days, ones or twice a day after washing my face and WOW, my breakouts totally disappeared. i admit since i didn't have much faith on this product at first i didn't take pictures for proof(next time i will). since it has salicylic acid i don't recommend going out in the sun after using this on your face or using this with other acne medication since it might have some effects. Shockingly it was not drying at all, it is very mild on the skin and you can actually feel it a bit when you touch it after applying. the product has a powdery smell to it, it doesn't really bother me that much. when looking at the pad it doesn't look like it can exfoliate, but it can, really proving that it is deep cleaning, but at the same time it is not that rough, nor damaging, but actually gentle and soft in a way.and lastly i noticed that it looks like it's not that wet, but it is moist enough to use one for my whole face.
~ i forgot to mention, the salicylic acid ingredient can make your skin peel on some areas that it's targeting like your breakouts.

i seriously love this product!! though i don't really plan on using this everyday since i don't want my skin to get immune to this product and only use it when needed and also it is a little expensive. i had been chasing my brother around telling him to use this since he has been getting some breakouts often. so for those who have been looking for a product to help treat their breakouts i recommend that you give this product a try!

hope this was a help!
have an awesome day!!!
<3,
Jill
