It was only until recently that I started to make more friends on Facebook account, and I made a few new blogger friends! Although I have been blogging for the past one year or so, it was only recently when my makeup tutorials are increasing in number of counts! And that I begun creating videos so that it would be more interactive for you all ^^

Lastly, special thanks to Rob for the Versatile Blogger Image, a wonderful designer with informative posts about creativity, typography etc. I chanced upon his blog while searching for images for this award, and I found his image to be very eye catching and befitting to my style. I really love the simple colours yet complex motifs used which made the image look unique. I twitted him to ask for his permission to use his image, and he readily gave me the green light!

So the weather has turned for the better

The haze in Singapore has cleared up slightly, it is around 50++, thank goodness. However wind directions might change and the haze might overshadow our sunny island anytime. So be prepared with masks and ensure you drink up gallons of water. I am sooo serious.

However in Malaysia, Muar has a shocking PSI of 700+, which I cannot imagine what the visibility would be like. That is a jaw-dropping figure! Please stay indoors as much as you can fellow Malaysian counterparts, drink more cold water and keep those masks on!

Anyhow, what have I been up to lately?

My niece arrived last month, and it has been an enjoyable time poop cleaning, backside wiping, getting pee attacks, and also giving her a special spa time. Oh why am I involved, oh well, we take turns to take care of her, her parents are of course roped in to do their duty too!

 

Did I mention I was learning the violin?

My exams are coming up in July and I hope that I could do a pretty decent job. Honestly, violin makes my arms ache. I crazy session of an hour practice was good enough to give me sore arms.

Why did I pick up the violin you may be wondering, well I guess it is my passion for music - I want to be able to learn as many instruments as I can! I am just greedy for more music. >.<!!

10 Things I've Never Told You

Instead of doing a monthly favourite, I will be sharing a little more about myself. Partly because I haven't had much things to share for this month, it is pretty much repetitive.. I don't want to reiterate things that you already know I like. There are some finished products, which I will do it altogether next month ^^

SO... After posting for close to half a year, I bet you might be wondering, who is this thesnowflowerrr person that is always blogging only her eyes, eyebrows and occasionally her lips. And if you are lucky, you even get to see an upside down face of hers...

But who is this person really? What does she do?...

So in order to prove that I am human, I am going to shed some light into my life... Lo and behold for the nice and not-so-nice moments. Please go ahead and laugh if you want, and share with me yours too ^^

10 THINGS I'VE NEVER TOLD YOU

1. I come from a nuclear family. In Singapore, you will probably only "leave" the house when you are married or when you are able to afford or own your own house. And owning a house here is very expensive~ 

2. I am a Chinese from Singapore, but I do get some occasional questions whether I have some mixed genetics from our neighbouring countries like Japan and South Korea. Thankful, because I feel they look beautiful hee....

3. My love of my life is probably music. I play the guitar, oboe, violin and the piano. The reason why I am exposed to so many instruments is because the people around me know how to play the guitar, so I picked up a handful of chords from them and learnt the rest online! Bought myself a violin lately and have been getting proper lessons as well. I was an oboist in my secondary school band (high school), and I play the piano since I was young! Well to sum it all, I enjoy making music and I teach music for a living.

4. Snacks I love are as such, calbee potato chips and jagabee, chocolate and anything unhealthy basically.

5. Recently I baked macaroons, and I succeeded. I enjoy baking, and I would bake whenever I could afford to spare time~ And I drew my own template to ensure my shells match, so if you are interested you could download the macarons template here ^^

6. Hello Kitty. I   l o v e   Hello Kitty. Can't explain how much I love her but she's been the reason why my pocket have always had a hole... To prove my love for her, I have a handful of Hello Kitty head cushions laying around in my room, and even ensured that my bedframe and bedsheets were Hello Kitty!

7. When I first started doodling makeup on my face, I only had lipstick. And through reading and watching of other beauty bloggers/youtubers, my collection expanded slightly to include lipstick, foundation to blusher. Everything that you need for the simplest makeup look ever. In my personal opinion, I have a lot of makeup already (it's never hitting pan), and I am thankful for that.

8. More about my skin alright, since this is pretty much all about beauty. I have a combination and acne prone skin. I have never had clear and flawless skin, and after all these while, I am still trying to combat acne. This mostly has got to do with my diet and my sleeping habit, I am having a little breakout on my chin area because I haven't been drinking much water and I am not sleeping enough.

9. I'd rather go out with no makeup than having to put on makeup lately. I only use makeup whenever the occasion arises, now I am so lazy that even if there's an occasion, I would merely apply some concealer on problem areas. Apply lipstick or liptints, and if I am feeling happy, an eyeliner~

10. You probably can guess this, I love Korean makeup and Korean dramas. I am now catching a few dramas - one starring Suzy & Lee Seung Gi, the other starring IU and another one which is called Monstar, starring Hyun Seung. Are you also a Korean drama addict, haa.. if you have never watched Korean dramas before, I would suggest you to try watching 49 days for a start - it is funny yet romantic in someway?!

I know I have some friendly readers that have been commenting lately (but I removed Google+ and all comments are gone, boo =[ ).

Tag: 15 Random Facts About Me

The gorgeous Dyna from Dyna's Random Blog, tagged me to do this post, so here goes!

1. If you have read my Ultimate Nail Tag, you will know I was born with long fingernails (if you didn't you know now haha) and something extra (or should I say less)... no hair! I guess all the keratin was at my fingertips lol :P

2. My favourite flavour/scent of pretty much anything that exists is Vanilla!

3. I hate winter and rainy days like today and I ADORE summer. No I don't care about the suffocating humid hot summer we have nor do I care about my unruly hair, I just love the up-beat moods I am in during summer and I love sunshine and bright clothes, bright everything, days at the beach... Oh summer I miss thee so much!!! Please come back soon ;(

4. I don't have a huge make-up collection as I only buy essentials, but I do like to try out new products so I'd say I have a medium-sized collection. However, I do have quite a good number of polishes hehe :)

5. I love SHOES!! If I'm feeling under the weather, I believe retail therapy is my only cure and nothing makes me more happy than buying a new pair of gorgeous shoes!

6. I think black is an elegant and fail-safe choice of  clothes' colour  for practically andy setting yet I don't like wearing it!

7. I am freaking scared of roaches but I am very fascinated by butterflies... their freedom and bright colours are what I admire the most.

8. My favourite animal to have as a pet would be a cat... he/she would keep my tootsies warm in winter :P Shown here is my bf's oldest cat... she's adorable and soooo soft!

9. I do not own any Mac... kill me now lol but I just don't get it why someone would spend all that money on a single eyeshadow/lipstick... when there are cheaper alternatives with exceptional quality.

10. Doing nail art (both on my own nails and for clients) is what relaxes me.

11. I get cold hands and feet all throughout the year!

12. I am a self-confessed book worm and will read anything interesting that comes to hand.

13. I keep 3 diaries to write all the stuff I have to do... my Uni diary, clients diary and a diary for all appointments, to do lists, etc... yes I am a tad OCD with having everything organized :S

14. My all time idol is Audrey Hepburn... I so admire her beauty and grace!

15. I feel most confident when my hair is in place!
