My first ever MUA Haul is here, thanks to my FB friend Tejinder Kaur from UK, if not for her i wouldn't have shopped these. Here's what i got ~

I don't remember asking for a blusher and those 3 lipsticks are definitely gifted by her. Now i didn't expect that and that too from a FB friend, thing is i just spoke to her couple of times on phone and never ever met.... Now who said its hard to find friends these days??

Life feels blessed having friends around.....

MUA - Pro-Brow Ultimate Eyebrow Kit - Review

Ello lovelies!
You may remember many moons ago when the Glossybox featured the HD Brow Kit in one of their boxes and the beauty world went crazy for it! I never had a subscription so i watched videos and read blog posts green with envy. Since the initial fuss i've heard less and less about the product, probably due to its £20+ price tag, so i was chuffed to bits to see a high street equivalent in the MUA Brow Kit, priced at a mere £3.50.

It's no secret, I'm a big MUA fan. Since their release a year or so ago they have been constantly releasing new and exciting products, with teeny weeny price tags. So when they had their 35% off (as if it isn't cheap enough already) sale i jumped at the chance to pick up a few new bits.

The kit comes in one shade, which is probably the only downside. I do wish they'd released it in one or two more shade ranges, but you never know, they may well do in future. It contains 3 powders, two brow colours and a highlight and a wax for fixing those odd unruly hairs! As a nice little extra it also contains a little double ended brow brush for application, which isn't great but is perfect for on the go, and lastly a little pair of mini tweezers which is always handy!

Being so fair, the lighter brow colour is the one i reach for although it is a smidge too warm for me. I can't actually use the two other powders, the darker of the two is just too dark and the highlight, for me, is again far too dark for that purpose. Saying that I'm still going to be using them as eyeshadow (i severely lack neutral mattes) rather than my brow to save waste. They apply evenly just with a bit of fallout, which for the price point, I'm not complaining about.

Overall, if you fit the shade range this is a nifty little product to have. I just wish they'd bring out a few more colour ranges as i feel lighter and darker browed lovelies may have issues with this.
Would i buy it again? In this colour, probably not... But I'd be happy to see it in a lighter, cooler toned option in the future!

You can check it out at your local Superdrug or online here!

FOTD: Winter Is Coming

 Hey Lovelies!
My blogs been choc full of hauls lately, so i thought I'd change it up a tad and share the look I've been wearing quite a bit over the past few weeks. I love the whole rock chick trend at the moment and I've been obsessing over anything studded and bold, berry lips! Its a simple look as I've been pretty lazy on the eyeshadow lately, which needs to change soon. I've not been brave enough to try a black, burgundy smokey eye, but that's next on my list!

Eyes:
MUA - Eye Primer
Elf - Black Liquid Eyeliner
Almay - Get Up And Grow Mascara
Anastasia - Brow Powder Duo

Lips:
Jack Black - Lip Balm
Revlon - Kissable Balm Stain in Crush

Face:
 Darling Girl - Face Primer
Tarte - Amazonian Clay Foundation in Ivory
Maybelline - Dream Lumi Concealer in Radiance
Laura Mercier- Secret Brightening Powder
Nars- Laguna Brzoner
Mac - Lightscapade
Tarte - Amazonian Clay Blush in Flush

I really need to get some more stain like products, i love the Revlon Balm Stains, even though they are on the drying side! But i don't fear having clown mouth with them and they have superb wear time, love them!

Have you cracked any "wintery" shades out of your stash yet?

MUA All In One - BB Beauty Balm

Ello lovelies!
I'm going to start off by saying one thing. I LOVE BB Creams. So if this review is a little critical, that would be why. Since jumping on the bandwagon last summer I've collected a few, mostly Asian branded creams. The Skin79 Hot Pink is one of my holy grail products, i love it so much I'm on my third one already! I've been noticing, well i think everyone has, the mass of BB Cream products crashing onto the UK market. The ones Ive tried, well ones in my price range, i haven't been all that impressed with. But being a lover of MUA i was delighted to have spotted this in my local Superdrug and was eager to give it a whirl!
One of my favourite things about BB Creams is that they generally have a high SPF and many are choc full of ingredients that beneficial to the skin. But here in the UK we're lucky to get a few weeks of sun, so the lack of SPF isn't really issue. It may even been seen as a plus since SPF can cause a white cast in photos.

The Beauty Balm comes in three shades: Light, Medium and Dark. Having tried their Matte Foundation and had an epic oompa loompa crisis i was a tad cautious at first. But i was assured by their more than helpful Facebook team that the shades had been reformulated and were much lighter, which I'm pleased to say they actually are! Just a shame I'm abnormally pale eh?

Okay so its not an exact colour match, but its not awful and I was determined to give it a bash! I did find it on the dryer side of a liquid foundation, nothing a bit of moisturiser or primer beforehand wouldn't fix.

A brave before and after pic... My skin has quite a lot of pink in it and on top of that i have some broken capillaries, evidence of my spot squeezing/picking stupidity! I was actually quite pleased at the coverage, medium and build able, which gets a thumbs up from me. And even though the shade wasn't a perfect match it blended pretty well into the skin. I set mine with Elfs HD powder and did notice a little shine a few hours in. It doesn't have the longest wear, but survived a whole day of uni without looking too shabby.

Overall i think its a pretty decent product. It wont be replacing my Skin79 any time soon but they are so different you can't really compare them. I wouldn't really class this as a BB Cream as such, but its certainly the best UK offering I've tried so far. It's priced at £4 for 30ml which is pretty bargaintastic if you ask me.

If you're looking for an affordable medium coverage foundation and you fit in the shade range, i really recommend giving this a bash! But in terms of BB cream, nothings yet to top my Hot Pink!

You can check it out in your local Superdrug or online here.

Have you tried any BB Creams yet?
