How’s that awesome feeling you have after O’s ended? :D
I've been going crazy, enjoying every bit of my holiday before the results come and then we gotta start dwelling over which school to go to!
Before you have your mind set on the school that you've decided to go into, why not hear about this polytechnic that I strongly recommend? :)
It's really difficult to make the right choice during the Joint Admissions Exercise as there're many schools for you to choose from.
I'm in this batch and I've yet to choose what school I want to go. However, this particular polytechnic caught my eye!
Singapore Polytechnic is the FIRST polytechnic in Singapore! SP has an outstanding track record spanning almost 60 years!!!!
Singapore Polytechnic also ensures the value and quality of their education, considering they have 160,000 GRADUATES in different courses. Not only that, their graduates are in strong demand! I mean, who wouldn't want to get into a school that will give you a good job out there, considering the strong competition among many other people?:)
Not only that, Singapore Polytechnic even has an OPEN HOUSE for O level graduates, like you and me, to make choosing the right school during Joint Admissions Exercise less challenging !
Singapore Polytechnic's Open House is from 5th to 7th Jan 2012 (10am to 6pm) !
Their open house provides you with course counselling on courses offered and discovery tours around different schools to help you make an informed choice.
I guess you should have a dream course in your mind right now!
As for me, I'm pretty interested in Diploma in Media and Communication as I guess it will help me in blogging xD
Furthermore, it looks like an interesting course to me!~
If you're afraid that you might get lost in SP during the open house, do not hesitate to get yourself a SP BUDDY who will bring you around Singapore Polytechnic! :D
That day, I was invited to Singapore Polytechnic and I was really surprised by the awesome facilities they have!
You name it, they have it! Kinect? They have. Wii? They have. Macbook? They have. iPad? They have. They have practically everything any student asks for T _ T
Also, they have SOOO many foodcourts I doubt I will be able to finish ALL the food there in 3 years. Hahaha.
This is food court 5 though. :)
They also have FANTASTIC CLASSROOMS.
I'm not a person who can stay AWAKE in class, especially when my classroom is super dull and boring. (Like how our sec schools are.)
I'm super afraid that polytechnic life's gonna be as boring but I was proven wrong!
They brought us to a creative writing course's classroom at the hilltop area~
Even the door's super special - It's either we 'climb' in , or we 'crawl' in!
It's like a child's world T _ T I went in and got super excited and started running up the 'slope' .
The lecturers there are really nice too!
One of them was explaining the concept of this classroom to us.
The free and easy space kind of triggers our mind to get creative while scribbling all around ! :D
Oh wait, I have not mentioned that we can 'VANDALIZE' the ENTIRE room (A child’s dream much?) xD
Imagine having fun in class everyday :( I want to go to a school like this too !

The blocks that are thrown around are provided for the students to 'build' their own working space in the room when they are doing their work.
They also brought me to The Agency, a real-life integrated marketing communication agency for students of the Diploma in Media and Communication course (which I had said earlier that I'm interested in) .
Didn't manage to snap photos because it was a sneak peek!

It's so cool and totally created just for students like US who can't tolerate boring classrooms! If you want to check out The Agency and SP’s many other facilities, just join the tours during the Open House!
By the way, Singapore Polytechnic has their own facebook page and twitter page, so do follow and 'like' them to get more information regarding SP.
Do join in their Open House as I think going into a school and looking around in the school itself is much much better than scanning through photos of them.
You wouldn't believe how crazy that place is , I was like "WOAH O_O" all the while during the trip.
